2008 - 2012

The North Las Vegas City Hall and Civic Plaza Park strategically located in the blighted heart of the city, was developed to breathe life back into the city and encourage community events and redevelopment. The building achieved LEED Gold and was the City’s first LEED building, including solar panels, energy efficient construction, daylighting and water conservative landscaping. The project created a center for the City’s government by bringing the various City departments together under one roof to allow for efficient communication and provide convenience to the community as a whole. The design of this building reinforces this goal by bringing in community amenities such as; the civic plaza and gathering spaces, an amphitheater, an interactive splash pad, ample parking, retail, a state of the art Development Services Center and Council Chambers. The central tower provides visual and contextual relationship to Las Vegas. Deriving inspiration from traditional civic architecture with classical rhythms and colors that mimic the desert sand and bright blue desert sky.
