The Palmetto Brewery is the oldest brewery in South Carolina. The design for a new brewery included brew house, fermentation tanks, warehouse, tap room and restaurant, beer garden, hospitality space and space for outdoor music venue. The project is located in the up and coming Garco Park neighborhood. The design incorporates traditional Charleston materials in a modern way. The beer garden is located adjacent to the brew house and has large overhead doors between the beer garden and the restaurant providing for an indoor / outdoor experience. The tour route begins in the brew house where there is a small tasting bar and continues on a bridge that overlooks the packaging hall.
